We usually immunize with the fusion protein. While we are waiting for the first boost, we prepare the cleaved product and then boost with that. That should focus the immune response onto the protein of interest. When we screen we always do our ELISAs on both GST, the GST fusion and the cleaved product. Andrey Shaw
