PCR Detection of HLA Alleles

The literature on this topic is very extensive.  You might check the 
bibliography of Henry Erlich or Peter Stasny for relevant papers.  A 
reasonable review from Erlich can be found in chapter 32 ("HLA DNA 
Typing") of the text "PCR Protocols and Applications" edited by Innis, 
Gelfand, Sninsky and White (Acadenic Press, 1990).  These protocols 
may be a bit dated by now, but its a reasonable place to start.
