I hybridized plant total RNA with a part of Hpt gene as probe. I got hybridization signal from rRNAs and the BRL RNA ladder ( 1-9 kb) as well. Does anybody out there have an explanation for this? Hpt derived from E.coli. I used PCR product as DNA template for probe lebelling. Thanks HY Yang
