Do DNA DE-methylases exist?

I'm surprised there are no DNA de-methylases. It makes one wonder how
hypo-methylated regions of DNA are formed. Of course, sequence
specificity would not be necessary. Locus control region regulatory
complexes could open up specific regions of DNA to the action of
non-specific de-methylases.
