Can anybody suggest other fixation procedures for an antibody sensitive to crosslinking methods such as paraformaldehyde? At the moment, methanol-based fixes seem to be ok but in whole-mounts this causes embryos to collapse in upon themselves ?stopping antibody penetrating. Any ideas much appreciated. Chris
