Dihydrofolate synthesis?

Hi

Does anyone know of a dependable method for reducing folic acid to 
dihydrofolate? I have tried methods using ME/dithionite or Ascorbate/
dithionite, but each time I get this great amount of powdery precipitate 
instead of a nice small amount of dihydrofolate...

Any help would be enormously appreciated!
