SDS & Chelex

Hello,

I have been working with spiders trying to isolate genomic DNA for RAPD 
analysis using two approaches:

1). standard phenol chloroform with SDS and Proteinase K 
digestion. 

2). Chelex-100 Resin by Biorad with a Proteinase K digestion, then a 
30min. boil.

My question is does anyone know what effects I'll have if I use SDS in my 
Chelex extraction if I don't get rid of it before PCR?  Any information 
would be helpful.
