Acrylamide Gel setting too quickly -- IDEAS??

Degas? Yuck!
About 15yr ago some smartass from down the hall wandered in while I 
was cursing the water aspirator and asked "why are you degassing? 
That's what God made APS for."
I use 60ul 25% APS for 30ml gel, and haven't degassed since. And I 
store the APS at -20 in 1ml aliquots. After ~10 freeze-thaw cycles I 
have to go to a fresh tube of the stuff. It keeps at least a yr at 
-20, unthawed.
