sequencing gel won't stick to Whatman paper

What we have done that works well is to soak a piece of 3MM paper in
water, lay it on the gel and then blot the water off the paper.  The gel
sticks to the paper, and then you can simply peel the gel off (from one
corner).  We also treat both plates with Sigmacote (or equivalent) before
assembling the gel.
