Help about blood storage please!

	I'd like to know what's the right thing to do with blood
samples before extracting DNA from them. Can a blood sample sit on 
the bench for days before being extracted (without loss of quality),
can it be kept at 4 C, -20 C? if yes, how long?
	I know those questions are basic ones, but I need your answers.
So please, answer me, I wait for it.
