Yes it should.  Transformation with phagemid ssDNA is analogous to 
infection with phagemid that has been packaged with a helper phage; once 
in the bacteria, the phage ori in single-stranded form directs priming 
and synthesis of the complementary strand by host enzymes to give dsDNA.
