Look in Genbank (http://www2.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/query_form.html)

Small fragment of the C. coli gyrA is accession no. U63413
Small fragment of the C. lari gyrA is accession no. U63412

Lots of other bacterial gyrA sequences there too. Try a blast search to
check for homology
