Sorry, I vote for "puc" (at least, that is the way everyone pronounced it
during my post-doctoral years). Now, being french, I tend to pronounce it
the french way, certainly not [pak], the "u" being almost impossible
for non french speakers to pronounce (difficult to translate over the
internet)
