Hi netters,
Does anybody know that if the purified ssDNA (isolated from bacteria
containing phagemid after infection of helper phage RO408) can
transform competent cells and recover the dsDNA replication mode?
I recently got such result when I transformed competent ES1301 cells
with ssDNA as a control. The colonies express the resistance to
tetracycline which is the gene located in the ssDNA. It is appreciated
if anyone can give me any ideas an\bout this.
Many thanks.
