seq and betaine

Read the article in NAR a few issues ago about sequencing with Sequenase
and using betaine in the termination mixes to eliminate pausing. Looks
excellent as a standard modification. My question is the recipe for the rx
buffer. They call it TDMN and the recipe is: 280 mM TES, 200 mM NaCl, 120
mM HCl, and 50 mM DTT. What is TES? I am assuming it contains the MgCl2
needed for the rxns.
