Kodak EDAS system for gel photography?

We are looking onto different possibilites for documenting EtBr-stained
gels. Kodak has come out with a new system using a CCD camera (DC-40) at a
considerably lower price than video-based systems. Does anybody have
experience with this system? All comments are appreciated.
