Trouble with miniprep- DNA contamination

HI,

   I'm just a novice in the lab, but I think it might be worth it to get
some new DH5-alpha subcloning competent cells from, for instance BRL. 
They are relatively cheap and could save you a lot of time.  PLus, if you
are still having trouble...you know it's the miniprep protocol and not the
cell line.  Well, just an idea.
