Question on whole mount hybridization of embryos

Hi!

We are attempting some whole mount in situ hybridization experiments on
horn fly embryos. We already done several experiments and have problems
with high backgrounds in our sense strand RNA controls.

Does anyone have a good reference for troubleshooting this technique. We
are following the 1989 Tautz and Pfeifle (Chromosoma ) publication.
