problem on PEG8000 in plasmid Extraction

Your PEG/NaCl probably went bad.  I've been told that the pH "goes off" 
after a month or two on the shelf, but I haven't actually checked.  
I've had the same problem, though, and then when I made fresh PEG/NaCl the 
precipitation worked fine.  Now I just date it and throw it out after a 
month.
