We have used the Sureclone ligation kit from Pharmacia for this. One reaction to blunt and phosphorylate your PCR product, then blunt end ligation into SmaI site of pUC18, giving blue/white selection. Worked well enough for us to use our own homemade chemically competent cells. Cheers, Joe Boutell.
