Metal Enhancement of TMB Signal

Signal from the DAB (diaminobenzidine) substrate in the peroxidase reaction
can be enhanced by the addition of certain transition metal salts (e.g.,
Co, Co, Ni).  Does anyone know of metals that will do the same for the
reaction with TMB (tetramethylbenzidine)?  Alternatively, does anyone know
of articles describing what exactly goes on in the case of DAB + M+?
