Obtaining DNA from formalin fixed tissue

If the blocks have stayed for long periods in formalin (more than 4%)  or
in formalin, which has not been neutralized (formalin is acidic, usually),
so you might never get any DNA. Try blocks, which have been fixed with
neutral 4% formalin.
