testing Cre recombination

we would like to test some constructs containing loxP sites just to
make sure they work prior to transfection. Does anyone know of a source
of purified Cre protein for an in vitro assay? Or, perhaps we could use
a bacterial strain that expresses Cre protein. I read that BS591 is a
recA strain that has a lambda cre prophage. However, I can't find a
source for this bacterial strain. Any suggestions?
