Dear People, The addition of glucose to repress leaky lac promoters is often advised here. I assume this is because of catabolite repression. Does it still apply to lacUV5 promoters as in BL21[DE3]? I thought lacUV5 was not subject to catabolite repression. Does the glucose make a measurable difference for people out there? Thanks, Tom
