Subject: Bird sexing using feather as the source of DNA

Dear All

I have read in some literature that it is possible to differentiate
between the two sex's, in birds with the use of feathers as the source
of the DNA. However, they never include the protocol of how it is
achieved.

I have attempted to develop my own protocol, but with little success in
obtaining the DNA. If anybody has any information about this subject it
would be appreciated.
