Michael,
Don't know if this is the answer, but recently I have been using Am.Ac.
for lyophilization purposes. Is it possible that the ammonia or both
are evaporating from your bottle and that it is no longer 7M? Easiest
way around this would be to make enough Am.Ac. for you experiment or
maybe only have it around for a day or two.
