Question: Cytoplasmic and nuclear fractionation of cells.

Hi all,
I would like to prepare cytoplasmic and nuclear fractions of cells. Can 
anyone recommend the "best" protocols/references for obtaining good 
fractionation of cells without cytosoplasmic contamination of the nuclear 
fraction and vice versa? Also, what are the best methods to determine 
whether or not there is contamination from one fraction with the other?
