I can't get my multichannel pipette into my DNA engine.....:-(

Has anyone else tried to use a multichannel pipette with an MJ
research PTC-200 DNA engine.   The bloody hot lid gets in the way!!!
AAAAAARGH.  I can't believe that this has not been thought of.
This means that altho' they sell you plates and strips to use in the
thermal cycler,  you can't get to the back most row.
