Westerns and estrogen receptors

Hi there,
Would anyone know the best way to extract the estrogen receptor from the 
nucleii of tissue cultured cells for running in a western blot?
It is about 67kDa in size (some reports of smaller/larger proteins have been 
noted). I have done this unsuccessfully twice and as the entire process takes 
so long, I want to make sure I am doing all the right things before I 
continue.
