Elaine Abbott Labs has an instrument (LCx) that detects labeled PCR products by binding them to glass microfibers and reading the signal photometrically. I'm sure that most of their stuff is proprietary, but maybe they can toss you some references. They are based in Northern Illinois (sorry am blanking on the city). Good luck, Betty
