DNA-protein binding

Hi everyone,

I have two questions to you:

1. Does anyone know a chemical in nucleic acid chemistry which attacks the C5 
of cytidine?

2. Does anyone know an example where a helix-turn-helix motif of a DNA-binding 
protein contacts the C5 of cytidine?
