Can anyone give me a protocol for the preparation of electrocompetent coli which will give efficiencies greater than 10exp8 transformants / microgramme? Whatever the protocol , we always seem to be limited to 10exp6-10exp7, even when strains such as DH5a or XL1 blue are used. Michael O'Donohue odonohue at lille.inra.fr
