pcr with NH4+

The first ref I ever saw to the NH4 buffer for PCR was:
Kogan, S.C., Doherty, M. and Gitschier, J., 
'An improved method for prenatal diagnosis of genetic diseases by analysis of

amplified DNA sequences', N. Eng. J. Med., 317 (1989) 985-990.

Intersetingly, they also uase a high Mg2+ conc and high dNTP conc.
We used to use it, and it worked well, but we switched to the standard
