**Original post stated problem with background on Westerns.

*Reply suggested blocking with TBS/Tween.

Often blocking with Tween-20 alone is insufficient.
Non-specific proteins make much better blocking agents than
detergents provided that they do not get bound by the antibodies.

I use nonfat dry milk (casein); many use BSA.
