POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS are available to conduct research in the Sealy
Center for Molecular Cardiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch
located on Galveston island.  Successful applicants will conduct research
in vascular cell gene expression and regulation.  Research projects
include elucidation of signal transduction pathways involved in vascular
cell diseases, the use of transgenic animal models for the study of
atherosclerosis, and the use quantitative PCR techniques to assess levels
of DNA damage due to the effects of oxidative stress.  Requirements: Ph.D.
or M.D. in biological sciences or equivalent.  Background in the
biomedical sciences with a proficiency in molecular biology is desirable.
