Does anyone know of a compound to add to mounting medium to reduce
fluorescent quenching? Vectashield is effective, but too expensive.
Hi Barbara,
I have always used glycerol-PBS containing 1 mg/ml p-phenylenediamine
as my mounting solution - it seems to work well with both FITC and
TRITC. Its in the Sigma catalogue at only =A34.50 for 50g so its worth a
try whatever you are using. Store at -20C in the dark.
