large plasmid propagation

Hey everyone...

We seem to have a problem that I'm hoping someone can help us out with. We
have an 18kb fragment that's in the pWE15 vector (8kb). Any suggestions
for a bacterial strain that we might use to propagate this monster. Our
every day CaCl JM109's either don't want to get transformed or they don't
want to replicate something that big. We're about to try electroporation
in case it's an efficiency issue, but in the meantime, I figured I'd ask
for other suggestions.
