Silver staining DNA bands in polyacrylamid gels

I used to silver-stain polyacrylamide Phast gels (Pharmacia, no 
affiliation).  These are tiny gels, and your incubation times will 
probably be longer, but the chemistry should work identically on your 
gels.  They have all kinds of protocols worked out for their gels and 
might fax you the silver-staining protocol if you ask them.  Good luck.
