Hi Im not sure exactly what you want to do but to control for RNA
loading or transfer rRNAs are very good much more accurate than ODs. The
way I do this is to stain the membrane with methlene blue solution to
varify amount and quality of the RNA trasnfered. Then take a picture of
it and wash it off in the prehyb works great. The only dissadvantage of
looking at rRNA is that it doesn't allways indicate the quality of the
mRNA. Sometimes the rRNA looks good but the mRNAs are smeary. Other than
that it is the best way to normalize RNA. email no good
