Why has glucose to be autoclaved seperately?

At higher temperatures some of the glucose is reacting with
aminofunctions (proteins, peptides etc.) in a socalled Maillard reaction.
The products of this reaction are not uniform and usually from darker
color - your medium gets a dark brown touch like caramel. I Hope this
