Background elimination for beta-gal in yeast

I recently read a post dealing with background elination when screening
mutants carrying lacZ fusions in yeast.  It involved the use of anti-
bodies and mentioned several other useful ideas.  I do not remember if
I read it in this newgroup or the yeast group.

If anyone can be of help in pointing me in the right direction I would
be most appreciative.
