Hi George,
Our lab has had a local plastics factory make replacement trays for
several electrophoresis units. The perspex they use is more heat
resistant than that used in the Pharmacia trays, so they last a lot longer
too. They also made custom combs for us.
Have a look in the phone directory for plastics and mouldings
suppliers. Good luck!
