Hi everybody,

can anyone tell me the exact length of the ribosomal RNA's in basepairs,
particularly of 16S, 23S, 18S and 28S rRNA, or where I can find information=

Please answer by e-mail.

Hi Anja

Although the # of bases differs depending on species, the BIO 101 =
Catalog/Reference Manual states:

16S rRNA - 1541 bases
23S rRNA - 2904 bases

mouse 18S - 1869 bases
mouse 28S - 4712 bases

human 18S - 1868 bases
human 28S - 5025 bases

Hope this helps. Kathy
