genotype question

an example genotype of the yeast strain mkp-o:

(MATa, can1-100, ade2-1, lys2-1, ura3-52, leu2-3,112, his3-*200,
trp1-*901)

* = capitol delta (the triangle) (a symbol beyond the capacity of my
emailer)

my question is this..   Do the deltas in the above genotype indicate a
specific type of mutation (such as a transposon insertion)?
