molecular indexing is a method that can be used to "index" cDNA form
different disease states of variuos tissues.

VERY short protocol:

first ds cDNA is digested by an class IIs restriction enzyme, then linkers
are ligated which divided the digested cDNA into 64 subpopulations. next a
pcr is performed which only amplifies the 5' end (poly T tail) of the
cDNA by use of an anchored oligo d(T) primer its possible to further
subdivide the cDNA into 3X64 = 192 subpopulations.
