I used MJ Research's MiniCycler in two different labs. It costs 2700. It takes 16 samples at a time. It is very small, it doesn't need a big space. I had very good results with it. I highly recomment it. I do not know much about the Biorad cycler. Hope this information is helpful. knben at ttacs.ttu.edu
