Q: Choccolate-like smelling bugs?

Hi all super-noses out there!

I recently got a contaminant into a maxiprep, grown in LB/amp at 
30degC: Smelled like choccolate or caramel, somewhat sweet in any 
case, I had to be tied to my seat by collegues for not eating them 
up. The pellet was quite white, no plasmid inside. 

You have *any* idea what kind of life form this might be? Don't say 
lctobacillus MILKA now!
