COS-7 transfection

I have a problem getting stable transfected COS-7 cells. Additionally to the
vector with my gene of interest, I co-transfected the cells with the selection
vector containing the neomycin resistance gene. My question is: At what
concentration do I have to use geneticin (G418 sulphate) to get stable clones?
I applied 500 microgram/ml, but no selection was observed.
