Dear all,
Recently I'm using CAT gene(from Campylobacter coli) and Tet gene(from
pBR322) to knockout a S.pneumoniae gene from its chromosome, but can not
get any chloramphenicol- or tetracycline-ressitant colony. I assume these
two gene don't work in S.pneumoniae(the S.pneumoniae host is very
transfromable Rx1). Did anybody out there have the same experience?
or any coments?
Rick
