oligo-dT synthesised cDNA: 18s rRNA??

Just idle speculation here (advice is free)...

1) rRNA genes come in multiple copies, so if there were any DNA contamination
it might show up there.
2) check the proximal region of 18S for a stretch of A's.
3) RNA has lots of secondary structure, so maybe it is self priming, esp if
there is some degradation.
